The Vietnam U20 Women's Team started smoothly in the 2026 U20 Asian Women's Qualifiers with a big win over Singapore.
Accordingly, coach Masahiko's students started confidently with a strong attacking style of play. In the 16th minute, Luu Hoang Van made a difference with a fast dribble on the left wing before firing a shot that confused the opposing goalkeeper. After that, Thuc Nhi managed to run into the rebound to open the score for the U20 Vietnam women's team.

After scoring early, the home team completely controlled the game but lacked sharpness in the final stages. The most regrettable situation was the indirect free kick from close range when the players in red shirts could not take advantage of it successfully.
In the second half, the U20 Vietnam women's team played more coordinatedly and effectively. In the 40th minute, the home team scored a double after a dangerous left-footed shot by Gia Luong. Just 2 minutes later, it was Thao Nguyen's turn to increase the score to 3-0 with an easy finish from a pass from the right wing of her teammate.

In the final period of the match, Nguyen Thi Thuong made her mark with a beautiful long-range shot in the 85th minute and Ca Thi Phuong sealed a 5-0 victory before the final whistle blew.
This victory helped the Vietnam U20 Women's Team temporarily lead Group B, above the Hong Kong U20 (China) - the team that beat Kyrgyzstan 2-1 in the match on the same day.
