On March 18, the U22 Vietnam team had its first training session in Jiangsu (China) to prepare for the 2025 CFA Team China international friendly tournament.
Before the training session, the coaching staff held a team meeting to elect the executive committee. Accordingly, midfielder Nguyen Van Truong was trusted to be the captain; the two vice captains were striker Nguyen Quoc Viet and defender Nguyen Nhat Minh.
In the first match, U22 Vietnam will face U22 Korea. Based on the analysis and assessment of opponents, at the professional meeting, the coaching staff deployed a training program to have the most proactive solutions for the upcoming match.
Coach Dinh Hong Vinh said that because the tournament organizers did not arrange for the teams to practice getting used to the stadium to maintain the grass, U22 Vietnam will have a tour of the Diem Thanh Olympic Sports Center Stadium tomorrow (March 19). This helps players have a more intuitive feel of the competition venue.
With a high level of concentration and careful preparation, the U22 Vietnam team is aiming for a positive result in the opening match.
