On the afternoon of December 9, the Vietnam Football Federation organized a training course for supervisors and referees of non-professional national tournaments in 2026.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation said: In 2026, Vietnamese football will continue to face many important tasks. Plans for the new season have been implemented, in which the supervision and referee training course is a key opening activity.
General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu also assigned specific tasks to the supervision team, referees, lecturers and class organizers, requiring all training participants to uphold their sense of responsibility to better meet the professional requirements of the 2026 season.
According to the plan, the training program will take place from December 7 to December 11 at the VFF headquarters, with the participation of 38 match supervisors, 15 referee supervisors, 28 referees and 35 referee assistants.

During the 5 days of training, students will be updated and systematized with competition rules; discuss and draw experience from the 2025 season; exchange expertise through practical situations; grasp the plan to organize non-professional national football tournaments and adjustments in the regulations and regulations of the 2026 tournament.
An important content of the training session is the physical testing of referees and assistant referees, held on the morning of December 11.
After completing the training program, qualified supervisors and referees will be assigned to work in non-professional tournaments in 2026.
The first tournament in the system is the 2025-2026 National U19 Qualifiers, starting on December 14 at host localities.
