This is the 13th time the tournament has been held, gathering 8 regional national women's teams, including the defending champions Philippines, Thailand (4 times champion) and Vietnam (3 times champion).
The matches will take place at the two main stadiums, Viet Tri (Phu Tho) and Lach Tray (Hai Phong). Viet Tri Stadium will be the venue for 2 semi-final matches, the 3rd place match and the final. The tournament will kick off in August 2025.
The draw for the group stage will take place on June 9. The eight teams are divided into two groups, competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, competing for a place in the finals.
AFF President - Major General Khiev Sameth emphasized that this year's tournament is an important milestone to promote the development of women's football in the region.
He said: "The ASEAN Women's Women's Women's Football Championship MSIG Serenity Cup 2025 marks an important milestone in our joint journey to enhance the importance of women's football in Southeast Asia. With the support of the Vietnam Football Federation, this event opens a new chapter full of promise for the most prestigious women's football tournament in the region".
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - President of the Vietnam Football Federation, said: "Vietnam hosting the ASEAN Women's MSIG Serenity Cup 2025 is a great honor, and at the same time a great pride, reflecting the remarkable development of women's football not only in Vietnam but also in the entire Southeast Asian region.

Together with the Southeast Asian Football Federation and strategic partners, we are committed to bringing a tournament that fully demonstrates the spirit, techniques and solidarity of football in the ASEAN region".
"We are also eagerly waiting for the official draw on June 9 - another important milestone in the journey to welcome the best women's teams from Southeast Asia to Viet Tri and Hai Phong in August," Mr. Tuan added.
This tournament is a step to continue the development of Southeast Asian women's football after teams such as Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam have continuously participated in the Women's World Cup in recent years.
