On the afternoon of March 10, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) held a conference to deploy preparations to organize the 2025-2026 National Professional Football Tournaments.

Based on the plans of the national teams and proposals at the meetings of the VFF Executive Committee, VPF Company has presented 2 plans for the upcoming season.
Option 1: The 2025-2026 season will kick off with the National Super Cup on August 9, 2025, the national championship will open from August 15, 2025 and is expected to end on June 18, 2026. In addition to the FIFA Days break as prescribed, this option also has an additional 2-month break to make room for the 33rd SEA Games and the U23 Vietnam U23 Vietnam to compete in the U23 Asian finals.
Option 2: The U23 team will not participate in the U23 Asian Cup finals, the expected start and end time of the season is similar to option 1. However, apart from the FIFA Days break, there will only be 1 more 1-month break for the 33rd SEA Games.
In addition, at the conference, the majority of opinions of clubs were related to the proposal for the number of foreign players in the V.League and the National First Division.

In addition to the contents related to the new season organization plan, the representative of the Disciplinary Board promoted a number of drafts related to changes and supplements to the Disciplinary Regulations, expected changes in the form of sanctions and handling of violations.
With the increase in the number of yellow cards or the response of the teams appearing, leading to unfortunate disciplinary decisions, the Disciplinary Board hopes that the clubs will control the reaction from the board of directors and coaching staff to build a beautiful image for the tournament.
Regarding the application of VAR technology, the Referee Board affirmed that VAR greatly supports the match management work, minimizing errors.
To prepare for the next phase of the season, the mid-term referee training program will be held in mid-March; continue to implement the VAR referee training course course 4 and the end of March.
In addition, VPF also plans to develop a plan to support clubs in the care and maintenance of the stadium. Ensuring the playing surface is emphasized and recommended that professional teams need to have active coordination and regular attention.
