Striker Nguyen Xuan Son has completed injury surgery and entered the recovery phase.

On the evening of January 6, after returning home with the Vietnamese team, striker Nguyen Xuan Son was immediately transferred to Vinmec International General Hospital for surgery.

After conducting in-depth examinations and consulting with experts, doctors determined that Xuan Son's injury was more serious than initially reported. The consultation results showed that the striker of the Vietnamese national team suffered a complex closed fracture of the middle third of the two tibia bones, with large loose fragments.

The doctors decided on a closed bone fixation surgery using intramedullary nails with pins under the fluoroscopy monitor. This is a minimally invasive surgical solution, helping to minimize soft tissue damage and ensure a quick recovery.

Xuan Son will then be transferred to the intensive care unit for monitoring and assessment.

Striker Nguyen Xuan Son received support from the Vietnam Football Federation, Nam Dinh club and especially his family, parents, wife and children.
