    According to a study published in the International Journal of Nursing Research, coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help relax muscles and relieve menstrual cramps.

    Another study published in the Hindawi Journal found that essential oils such as lavender, sage, rose, marjoram, cinnamon, and clove, when mixed with a carrier oil like coconut oil, can help relieve menstrual cramps when massaged into the navel and around the abdominal area.

    Dr. Astha Dayal, an obstetrician and gynecologist, says that warming a small amount of coconut oil and gently massaging it on the navel area in a circular motion can help improve blood circulation and relieve menstrual cramps. It also helps control stomach pain, boost fertility, reduce belly fat, and improve skin health.
