With the theme of the working month of 2025: "The Vietnamese working class pioneered the new era - Petroleum workers unanimously renovated, steadily reaching out" and the theme of the month of action on occupational safety and health in 2025: "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure safety and hygiene at the workplace", the working month of the labor union will be in the labor union of 2025. Activities promote the attention of the entire political system, businesses and the whole society in taking care of the construction of a modern and strong working class in the spirit of the Party's XIII Congress Resolution and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of 12.6.2021 of the Politburo on the renovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union honored 50 typical examples in the 2020-2025 period and 14 outstanding individuals in implementing "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the 2020-2025 period. Visiting and supporting nearly 3,000 workers in difficult circumstances with a total cost of 3 billion VND. Inspection and supervision of occupational safety and hygiene are carried out strictly at 5 units, ensuring strict compliance with safety work.
Along with that, a series of activities including organizing for the delegation of 100 outstanding delegates for the 2020-2025 period to meet the National Assembly Chairman and visit the National Assembly Building.
At the launching ceremony, the units signed a commitment to compete in completing the group's management plan No. 529 and the Oil and Gas innovation program in 2025.
In particular, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union honored typical examples in the 2020-2025 period, outstanding individuals in implementing "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the 2020-2025 period.
At the affiliated trade unions, 100% of units have implemented plans and organized many activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers, including launching ceremony, cultural and sports activities, legal consultation, inspection of occupational safety and hygiene and visiting and giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.
These activities not only improve the lives of workers but also ensure labor safety and promote the sustainable development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of VGCL Phan Van Anh and Deputy General Director of the National Energy Industry Group Do Chi Thanh highly appreciated the organization of the launching ceremony of the month of workers, especially the effective innovation in activities. Leaders of 2 units also expressed their desire for activities in the month to continue to affirm the pioneering role of the working class and the role of trade union organization.
In particular, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh suggested that the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union organize activities to care for, visit, give gifts to workers, present "Union Shelter" houses to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances who have had work accidents; conduct negotiations and dialogues with employers on employment, wages, bonuses, welfare, and working conditions for workers.
The Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025, honoring outstanding Oil and Gas Workers and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is the first activity in a series of event activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, now the National Industrial - Energy Group of Vietnam.
