Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Chau is Head of the Garment Factory, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Thanh Cong Textile - Garment - Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company. Ms. Chau has been with the Company for 32 years. The way she cares about workers both shows the responsibility of a management officer and a union officer, and also shows sincerity. Every morning, she always comes early, passes the sewing lines, observes each operation, each look of the workers to grasp everyone's mood.
Under her management, the Garment Factory always achieves the highest productivity in the industry, stable quality, workers have good income and customers are always satisfied.
Ms. Chau also proactively organizes skills training courses, contests "Searching for Talent in the Garment Industry", "Black Belt", creating an environment for training and improving skills. Many workers after the competition have been promoted, have increased their income, become the captain and they all remember her simple saying: "I don't find good people, I help them become better".
She is also a persistent person with technical improvements, Kaizen applications, "Speed Lean" programs, "Zero Short Ship", helping to optimize the process, increasing productivity by 1015% per year. These initiatives not only help businesses stand firm, but also create conditions for workers to reduce overtime and improve their lives.
In the role of Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, Ms. Thanh Chau is always close, dedicated, and accompanies workers in every joy and worry. She and the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union proactively negotiated collectives, adjusted the Collective Labor Agreement in a beneficial direction for employees such as increasing shift allowances, expanding beneficiaries, taking care of workers' children, adding maternity benefits and paid sick visits. Despite the difficult production period, the trade union still maintains the goal of "leaving no one behind".
To create conditions for union members and workers to strive and increase their income, Ms. Chau and the Trade Union launched many emulation movements such as: "Initiatives - Technical Improvement", "Search for Talent", compete to improve productivity and quality at sewing lines; the "Green - Clean - Beautiful" movement, deploy 5S to serve customer work... The criteria of these movements are built in accordance with reality, so they attract a large number of workers to participate, creating a vibrant atmosphere to compete in production.
A very special thing about Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Chau. That is what she thinks: The trade union is a place where workers are seen, loved and trusted. Therefore, in every line, every meeting, every Union meal, she is dedicated and devoted. All activities for workers are done by her with affection from the heart.
Ms. Thanh Chau's efforts have contributed to helping Thanh Cong Textile - Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company achieve the title of "Strong Grassroots Trade Union" for many consecutive years, and be commended by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union.
Not only is she an exemplary union leader, Ms. Chau is also a typical model in the movement "Good at public affairs, good at home affairs". As a mother and wife, Ms. Chau arranges her family life scientifically, building an equal, warm and happy environment.
