In the series of activities of Workers' Month 2026, a delegation of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union led by Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union visited and encouraged officials, employees and laborers at Ly Son Electricity (Quang Ngai).
In Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province, the working delegation met and visited a group of workers who are day and night ensuring electricity in the frontline island of the Fatherland. This is an area with a particularly important position in terms of economy, defense, security and sea and island sovereignty, and also a place where the working and living conditions of electricity workers are still difficult.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Do Duc Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility and dedication of officials and employees of Ly Son Electricity. According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, in harsh weather conditions, remote from the mainland and pressure to ensure continuous electricity for people, armed forces as well as political tasks on the island, the collective of workers here still maintains the spirit of solidarity, overcomes difficulties and successfully completes assigned tasks.
He emphasized that each electrical worker in Ly Son not only performs professional duties but is also a "soldier" on the front of ensuring energy security at the front lines of the sea and islands.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, the Central Power Corporation Trade Union and the Quang Ngai Electricity Company Trade Union also presented many gifts to encourage union members and workers. These gifts, although not large, show the sharing and companionship of the trade union organization with workers in remote islands.

Previously, the working delegation of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union visited and worked with the grassroots Trade Union of Ca Mau Electricity Company and the Ca Mau Power Transmission Trade Union under Power Transmission Company 4.
At the working session, many recommendations related to the lives of workers were proposed by units such as housing support through the "Trade Union Shelter" program, loan support for land purchase, investment in cultural and sports facilities, improvement of working conditions, strengthening specialized equipment and limiting the use of personal motorbikes when performing tasks to minimize the risk of traffic accidents...
Speaking at the working sessions, leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union affirmed that workers are the most precious asset of the enterprise. Therefore, Workers' Month is not only a labor production emulation period but also an opportunity for trade union levels to focus on comprehensively caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
According to the leader of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, in the coming time, the trade union organization will continue to study and amend regulations related to the Mutual Assistance Fund, the "Trade Union Shelter" program, "Colleague House"; and at the same time support more equipment for living and sports for workers at the grassroots level...
Through visits during Workers' Month 2026, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a fulcrum for union members and workers in the electricity industry; and at the same time spread the spirit of sharing and accompanying workers who are day and night sticking to the front lines, contributing to ensuring safe and stable operation of the power system to serve national development" - Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union shared.
