Currently, the Institute's Trade Union has 656 union members out of a total of 898 cadres, civil servants and workers, of which women account for 41.6%. The average income of workers is from 7 - 12 million VND/person/month. Some highly qualified cadres earn from 12 - 17 million VND/month. Regimes on salary, social insurance, welfare, training, and professional qualifications are all fully and promptly guaranteed.
During the past term, the Institute's Trade Union has effectively organized many activities to care for the lives of union members such as maintaining a collective kitchen, organizing periodic health check-ups, vacation tours, visiting union members in difficulty and sick. Social security work has been actively implemented with a total amount of support for people affected by natural disasters in 2024 and 2025 reaching over 421 million VND.
The emulation movements for scientific research and creative labor continue to be promoted; in 2025 alone, the Institute will preside over the implementation of 59 scientific and technological tasks at all levels, with 3 recognized intellectual properties.
The general goal for the 2025-2030 term is to strengthen the great solidarity bloc, implement grassroots democracy well, build a strong Trade Union organization, contributing to the excellent completion of the Institute's political and professional tasks.
Some important targets set by the Congress are: striving for 100% of union members to have stable jobs with an average income of 8 - 15 million VND/person/month; training and introducing 40 outstanding union members to join the Party; 100% of units organize periodic health check-ups and annual conferences for civil servants and public employees.
