In 2024, units in the Coal - Minerals industry coordinated to develop a joint plan for more than 82,060 officers and workers to go on tours and vacations.

On October 9, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) Trade Union said that in 2024, the trade unions of the units have coordinated with the experts to develop a joint plan for 82,060 people to go sightseeing and vacation.

In the third quarter of 2024, 42,265 trips were organized for people, including 36,790 domestic trips and 4,280 international trips. 504 families of officers and employees were organized for sightseeing and vacations. In the first 9 months of the year, 71,098 officers and employees were organized for sightseeing and vacations by units, including 65,392 domestic trips and 5,245 international trips.

The total amount of money that units spent on employees for sightseeing and vacations in the third quarter of 2024 was more than 283.04 billion VND, and the accumulated amount in the first 9 months of the year was more than 381.21 billion VND. In the third quarter of 2024, units organized for 3,982 workers with poor health to go to nursing homes and receive treatment support with a total amount of more than 20.075 billion VND; in the first 9 months of the year, they organized for 6,878 people to go to nursing homes and receive treatment support with an amount of more than 29.81 billion VND.

Pursuant to Instruction No. 26/HD-TLD dated July 3, 2024 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the TKV Trade Union issued Instruction No. 481/HD-CDTKV dated July 11, 2024 on the implementation of the organization of "Union Meal" in 2024, accordingly directing affiliated units to coordinate with specialized agencies to implement throughout the industry from July 22 to August 31, 2024. The total number of union members attending the union meal was 80,591 people, with a total value of more than 10 billion VND.

Units have plans to conduct periodic health check-ups for workers. In the past 3 months, 37,189 people have had periodic health check-ups, of which 4,193 people have had specialist examinations. 192 people have had lung lavage at TKV hospital.

In the third quarter of 2024, trade unions at all levels organized visits to sick and happy people, supporting 13,330 workers in difficulty with a total amount of more than 16.17 billion VND. In the first 9 months, they organized visits to sick and happy people, supporting 23,366 workers with a total amount of more than 29.1 billion VND.
