Attending and directing the 8th Congress, term 2025 - 2030 of the Trade Union of the Mining Chemical Industry Corporation were Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union; Nguyen Quoc Hung - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Corporation.
The Congress was attended by 108 outstanding delegates representing nearly 3,500 workers and civil servants of the entire Corporation.
In the 2023-2025 period, the Trade Union of the Mining Chemical Industry Corporation has always stood side by side, accompanying the profession to overcome all difficulties and challenges, ensuring stable jobs and income for workers; effectively promoting emulation movements among workers and civil servants, and successfully completing assigned tasks.
The report at the Congress clearly stated that the targets for implementing the Resolution of the 7th Congress were all achieved and exceeded. In which, the target group of Trade Unions proactively implemented 8 targets, the group of Trade Unions participated in coordinating the implementation of 6 targets.
Notably, over 95% of trade union groups, departmental trade unions and 100% of grassroots trade unions have completed their tasks well or better every year, an increase of 5 - 10% compared to the Resolution of the 7th Congress. The Corporation's Trade Union in 2023 and 2024 all completed their tasks excellently.
Develop union members, admit 139 union members, reaching a rate of 100% of new workers joining the Trade Union. Survey and implementation of 17 Trade Union Shelters. Funding and union membership fees will be paid from 100% to 105% of the plan.
The target group for coordination in implementation: 100% of units strictly implement the grassroots democracy regulations; 100% of units in the Corporation have full regulations on management and use of social funds, welfare, rewards, and coordination regulations between professional and trade unions. The labor productivity index increased by an average of over 5%; increased income for union members and workers... Signing a Collective Labor Agreement with 12 provisions better than the law.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union emphasized: Entering the new term, the Corporation's Trade Union needs to closely follow the direction of the Corporation's Party Committee, focusing on effectively implementing solutions to complete the targets set for the 2025 - 2030 term with the goal of the action slogan: "Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Innovation, Development".
Continue to promote the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements; better perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, create a safe working environment, and take good care of the material and spiritual life of workers and civil servants of a specific industry.
