Attending the event were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade; leaders of the Labor Federations of the Southern provinces (emulation clusters 9, 10, 11) signing the coordination regulations.
Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union - said that the signing aims to work with the Provincial Labor Federations to take care of union members and workers; union members and workers of the Vietnam Health Trade Union in the area as well as those of local health sector unions.
“Signing the coordination charter is a channel for the Vietnam Medical Trade Union to grasp the aspirations as well as recommendations and proposals for the Vietnam Medical Trade Union to do a good job of representing, caring for and protecting. For the provincial Labor Federations, signing helps to better care for union members and workers in the medical sector in the localities,” said Ms. Pham Thanh Binh.
Ms. Pham Thanh Binh believes that with the newly signed coordination regulations, the Southern Provincial Federation of Labor and the Vietnam Health Trade Union will continue to be closely connected and work together in the coming time; at the same time, there will be many more meaningful coordination activities, thereby further affirming the representative, caring and protective role of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers in the health sector in the Southern region, contributing to enhancing the position of the Trade Union for union members and workers in general, and union members and workers in the health sector in particular.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - welcomed the Vietnam Healthcare Trade Union for its initiative to sign, demonstrating the responsibility of the Vietnam Healthcare Trade Union before the project of cross-industry Trade Union was issued.
Acknowledging the results achieved in the period of 2018 - 2023, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said that in order to effectively perform the functions and tasks of the trade union organization, in the coming time, the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the provincial Labor Federations need to promote and continue to organize activities to care for and support union members and workers, including further strengthening coordination activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the health sector in the provinces.
Along with that, pay attention to launching emulation movements, especially the movements "Good worker, creative worker", "Green, clean, beautiful, safe and hygienic work", "Good at public work, good at housework"... in the medical sector to promptly recognize, commend and reward.
In addition, the two sides must regularly exchange and grasp thoughts, aspirations, pressing issues, issues regarding policies and regimes related to union members of the industry, thereby making timely recommendations and proposals to competent authorities...
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong also directed the integration of emulation bloc activities to evaluate performance results, draw experience and sign coordination regulations for the following years.
In addition, the parties also need to discuss practical difficulties and obstacles to effectively implement the industry-wide trade union project when it is issued in the coming time.
The Southern Provincial Labor Federation signed a coordination charter with the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, including: Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Dong Thap, Tien Giang.
