On the afternoon of March 6, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province - received and worked with Hanoi Medical University on the implementation of the Hanoi Medical University Facilities Construction Project in Bac Ninh province.
The Hanoi Medical University Construction Project in Bac Ninh province was introduced by the Provincial People's Committee in a document dated July 4, 2019 with an area of about 30 hectares, belonging to the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Application Research Training Area (Department No. 12, Lim City Expansion Area, Tien Du District).
The project aims to develop a medical human resource of sufficient quantity and quality, which is the premise to make Hanoi Medical University a leading research orientation university in Asia on training, scientific research and technology transfer, meeting the requirements of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
The investment scale includes: Construction of training areas, hospitals and research institutes for applied high-tech medicine with a total estimated investment of VND 3,150 billion. Of which, the scale of students is about 3,000 people; the scale of practice hospitals is about 1,000 beds; the scale of research institutes.
At the conference, Hanoi Medical University proposed to Bac Ninh province 2 options: Option 1: Support the construction of the entire project using the province's budget and then hand it over to the school for operation; Option 2: Support site clearance, construction of protective fences, technical infrastructure of the land, then Hanoi Medical University will implement the remaining items.
After listening to the opinions of the delegates, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan expressed his support, hoped that the project would be implemented soon and affirmed that the leaders of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province will create the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned relevant departments and branches to study, advise, and propose the Provincial People's Committee to support Hanoi Medical University in implementing the project according to plan 2.
At the same time, it is recommended that Hanoi Medical University work with the Ministry of Health to propose the Government to supplement investment capital and have the most optimal support plan for the province and Hanoi Medical University to coordinate and accompany the project implementation as soon as possible.
According to the reporter's research, in the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
Currently, the Hanoi Law University campus 2 project is under construction with an area of nearly 28 hectares in Tu Son City (Bac Ninh province), with a total investment of more than 1,700 billion VND.
The project to build a facility in Bac Ninh of the following schools: University of Pharmacy, Foreign Trade University, University of Natural Resources and Environment is also in the process of implementation.
