Good news for teachers
In the context of the education sector having many innovations in treatment regimes, the proposal to improve teachers' income from 2026 has attracted great attention from teachers across the country.
According to the draft Decree regulating salary policies and allowances for teachers of the Ministry of Education and Training, all teachers are entitled to a "special salary coefficient". In which, preschool teachers are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.25 compared to the current salary coefficient; other titles of teachers are entitled to a special salary coefficient of 1.15 compared to the current salary coefficient.
For many teachers, a commensurate salary not only helps stabilize their lives but is also a support for them to continue to focus on the career of educating people.
As a teacher at Lien Chung Primary and Secondary School (Phieng Khoai Commune, Son La), Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Phuong confided that living and working in the highlands really has many challenges.
Sharing about her work with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Phuong said that the teaching profession always requires perseverance and constant effort. The school's facilities are still limited, some classrooms have degraded, equipment has not kept up with the need for innovative teaching. This makes teachers proactively creative in each lesson to ensure teaching quality.
In addition to her work at school, she also has to balance teaching and taking care of her family with two young children. The workload during the school year sometimes makes her feel overloaded, but the joy of students' improvement every day is always the motivation for her to continue to strive. "Witnessing the children change and grow up is what helps me overcome the most tiring times" - she said.

When hearing the news about the new policy, Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Phuong could not hide her joy. She confided that her current income still makes teachers have to consider a lot in spending on their family, from daily activities to taking care of their children or arising expenses. Therefore, the proposal to add a special salary coefficient is considered by her as a good sign, bringing more peace of mind in work. "If our income improves, we will have more conditions to focus on our profession," she shared.
Ms. Phuong also hopes that the policy will be implemented harmoniously, promptly and in accordance with the actual situation, helping teachers everywhere have more support to continue to accompany students.
Driving force from new salary policy
Not only Ms. Phuong, Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - teacher at Thang Mo Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Thang Mo commune, Tuyen Quang province) also shared her joy and expectations when hearing about the salary coefficient increase policy from 2026.
"I am working in a border commune, where all students are ethnic minorities. Because most students are not fluent in common language, imparting knowledge requires teachers to be patient, flexible and creative in each lesson. Therefore, every time we receive attention and support from the State, we feel more motivated and confident to continue to stick with the profession" - Ms. Lieu said.

According to Ms. Lieu, the salary increase policy not only helps improve the lives but also shows the State's concern and recognition for those who are silently contributing day and night. "I hope the policy will be implemented soon, so that teachers in all regions can feel secure in their profession, continue to contribute and bring knowledge and skills to students across the country" - Ms. Lieu expressed.
