At the age of 27, the student at the University of Science, Thai Nguyen University has donated whole blood 30 times and from those blood donation certificates, Nguyen Phuc Duc has created a special national flag to express national pride.
Since he was a child, Nguyen Phuc Duc's life had to face a major change when he lost his right arm in a sudden accident in the 6th grade. This incident not only left him with physical pain but also caused great mental damage. From a lively boy, Phuc Duc became withdrawn.
Having lost part of his right arm, Phuc Duc had to start learning to write again with his remaining arm. With extraordinary effort, the boy mastered the skills with his left arm and continued his education.

After many years of searching for opportunities for himself, studying at many schools but not suitable for his disabled hands, in 2021 Duc decided to take the entrance exam to the Faculty of Tourism, University of Science, Thai Nguyen University. This choice became a turning point in Duc's life, from a self-conscious boy, afraid to communicate with people, Phuc Duc found strength when participating in volunteer activities at school and in the locality.
Phuc Duc also shared about a special hobby that he jokingly called “addiction” to donating blood. Although it was his first time donating blood, Phuc Duc was a bit shy, but when he learned that what he was doing could save many lives, Phuc Duc signed up to donate blood.
Up to now, at the age of 27, Nguyen Phuc Duc has donated blood 30 times, each time as a small gift contributing to saving the lives of many patients. “Giving is forever” – that is Phuc Duc’s motto in life, clearly demonstrated through his tireless dedication to the community.
In particular, Phuc Duc personally created a very unique national flag using 30 of his blood donation certificates, as a way to express national pride and affirm the spirit of "helping each other" of the Vietnamese people.

In addition to donating blood, Phuc Duc also inspires many other young people through volunteer clubs. He is currently the Vice President of the Red Cross Youth Association in Thai Nguyen province. With a gentle smile and a tolerant heart, Phuc Duc has turned his life story into a motivation for many people around him.
“To me, disability is just an inconvenience, not a misfortune. Participating in volunteer activities makes me feel more useful and confident,” Phuc Duc shared.
Phuc Duc not only changed himself but also spread the message of living kindly, caring for each other and sharing every day. The unexpected appearance of his teacher and classmates, along with the Blood Donation Club, opened up many interesting stories about this 9X guy who is passionate about community activities.
