Born into a working-class family in Phuc Yen city, Vinh Phuc province, Kim Thi Huyen suffered from sequelae of paralysis at the age of one and suffered from mobility disabilities. With paralyzed legs and weak arms, giving birth and raising a child was a difficult journey.
With the support of family members and the spirit of effort and the great love of the mother, the healthy and lovely 7-year-old Kim Thien An is a meaningful gift that Ms. Huyen received from life.
Like many other women, when entering adulthood, Ms. Kim Thi Huyen always dreams of becoming a mother, but understanding that her circumstances are not like many others, she once put that dream aside and did not dare to have children, because she was afraid that her children would suffer, afraid that her children would grow up to be more disadvantaged than her peers.
Baby Thien An came to Ms. Huyen surprised and filled with happiness. When I heard the news, I had a small child, mixed with joy, worries, sorrows and many difficulties. But it is the sacred love of motherhood that has helped her overcome everything.
And luckily, besides that mother, the companionship of Thien An's father and family has given her more motivation to now, when she saw her son grow up, happy and joyful every day is the most meaningful gift that Ms. Huyen received from life.
Thanks to Thien An, Ms. Huyen tries to live as a normal person. There were times when she was hopeless and thought about death, but with her love for life and the strength of her mother, Huyen tried many times more than others.
Having gone through many difficulties and failures, Ms. Huyen has never been discouraged, she always told herself: "I can do everything, my hands can do it if I try". At the age of 30, Ms. Huyen was hired to work as a helmet company and there, she was able to work, contribute, express herself and be recognized.
From a disabled, shy and self-conscious person, Ms. Kim Huyen has become a brave, confident woman who has risen to adversity thanks to a stable job. With a smile always blooming on her lips, Ms. Huyen is a source of inspiration, a shining example and is trusted and respected by many friends and colleagues.
Looking back on the memories of 10 or 20 years ago, Ms. Huyen was extremely happy and felt that she had completely changed her life, as if becoming a different person. The most proud thing for her throughout her journey as a mother and to improve herself is her "courage".
Although she has been rejected many times, and has been rejected by negative looks and reviews from society, Ms. Huyen has never been discouraged and is always determined not to give up. That courage has convinced everyone, with her disabled hands, she can do her job well.
