Attending and directing the congress were Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor. Also attending were representatives of leaders of departments under the Provincial Federation of Labor, Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company and 137 outstanding delegates, representing more than 670 union members and employees of the company.
According to the Trade Union of Lam Son Road mongrel Joint Stock Company, the unit currently has 675 workers, working at 18 affiliated departmental trade unions.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, term XIV, the Company's Trade Union has performed well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Every year, the Trade Union proactively inspects and supervises the implementation of regimes and policies related to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Through inspection, policies for workers have been implemented seriously, promptly, and in accordance with regulations; the rights of union members are fully guaranteed.
The union regularly receives and collects opinions and recommendations from union members and promptly proposes to the company's leaders to resolve difficulties related to wages, bonuses, shift meals, toxic compensation regimes, etc.
Labor safety, hygiene, fire prevention and fighting and food hygiene and safety are strictly implemented according to the provisions of law and the company. A safety and hygiene network has been established at factories; periodically organize training, environmental monitoring, and provide adequate labor protection.
The work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers has been regularly implemented. In the period of 2023 - 2025, the Trade Union visited and supported union members and workers in difficult circumstances, illnesses, work accidents, retirement... with a total budget of more than 940 million VND.
Every year, the union maintains meaningful programs such as "Tet Sum Vay" and "Worker's Month", supporting union members in difficulty with a total value of about 120 million VND/year. During the term, union members of the company directly donated more than 150 million VND to support families in especially difficult circumstances.
Regarding the work of developing union members and building a strong union organization, the Company's Trade Union always focuses on; most newly recruited workers are propagandized, mobilized and admitted to the trade union organization. To date, 100% of employees in the enterprise are union members.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor acknowledged and praised the results achieved by Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company and the company's Trade Union in the past term. Especially the pioneering story in the field of high-tech agriculture.
Mr. Thanh suggested that the company's Trade Union continue to innovate its content and methods of operation; improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization of union members; focus on performing well the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; promote emulation movements, contribute to improving the quality of workers' lives, and build a strong trade union organization.
I hope that in the new term, the Trade Union of Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company needs to affirm its role as a development companion a trusted partner and a protector of humanity. Only when the trade union truly connects the interests of workers with the development mission of the enterprise, will the company's goals become a reality, aiming to become a green, happy and prosperous agricultural group" - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
At the Congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Lam Son sugarcane Joint Stock Company, consisting of 13 members, for the 2025 - 2030 term. Electing delegations to attend the Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
