On December 8, Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union (VTC) - said that Tet care activities are mainly carried out in grassroots trade unions, focusing on units and employees directly involved in production. The Vietnam Construction Trade Union has directed its affiliated units to organize the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" Program; focusing at the grassroots level and above the grassroots level in accordance with the actual situation, ensuring safety, savings, efficiency, attracting many union members and employees to participate.
Organize the "2026 Trade Union Tet Market" Program in accordance with the conditions and resources of trade unions at all levels, units and enterprises.
The grassroots trade union will implement a practical Trade Union Meal, in accordance with the actual conditions of the unit. The Vietnam Construction Trade Union directs the trade union at the grassroots level and the grassroots trade union to organize activities to support part or all of the travel expenses for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to their workplaces to ensure safety, convenience and thoughtfulness; based on the situation of union members and workers working during Tet to organize warm, joyful activities bearing the Union's mark. In case many union members and employees do not return home for Tet, organize the "Tet not far from home" program or other appropriate activities.
Before the Lunar New Year, trade unions at all levels proactively participate with competent agencies to grasp the situation, inspect and supervise employers in paying salaries and bonuses to union members and employees during the Lunar New Year; promptly detect and have solutions to ensure the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid salaries, inability to pay bonuses, business owners fleeing or dissolving, going bankrupt. Strengthen dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary payments, Tet bonuses; take care of the material and spiritual life of employees during Tet.
Along with that, the grassroots trade union balances support sources from superiors, mobilized sources from agencies, units, and enterprises; regular revenue and expenditure sources during the year and uses the unit's accumulated union financial resources to carry out activities to care for Tet for union members and employees.
In time for the Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union is expected to prepare and give 15,000 gifts to union members and employees - each worth 1 million VND. This includes allocating and providing funding to affiliated unions for implementation and directly visiting union members and employees working at units, factories, and construction works during Tet" - Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union said.
