The program attracted the participation of 3,000 athletes from nearly 100 agencies, units, businesses, and schools in 6 communes (belonging to the old Tien Lang district). Athletes participated in the 3 km long run, along the southern road of Tien Lang commune.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Chairwoman of Tien Lang Commune Trade Union said that this is the largest-scale running race ever organized by Tien Lang Commune Trade Union. The running race not only received the response of thousands of union members and workers but also the participation of many leaders of agencies, units, and businesses. Some foreign business directors, despite dense production plans, still created conditions for workers to participate in the running race (being assigned work hours as if going to work), contributing to the success of the program.
At the end of the race, the Organizing Committee awarded the first team prize to Evergreen Shoe Co., Ltd. Also at the program, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation awarded subsidies to 1 case of union member's family who died in a labor accident; awarded 30 Workers' Month gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Tien Lang commune.
