On December 22, according to information from the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor, Emulation Cluster No. 5 of the Northeastern Midlands and Mountainous Provinces held a conference to summarize the emulation movement in 2024 and sign an emulation covenant in 2025.
Attending the event were Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Ha Ngoc Giap and leaders of the Confederations of Labor of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces.
Currently, the cluster has 6,428 grassroots trade unions (UCs) with 339,739 union members. In 2024, with the theme "Bringing the union congress resolution into life," PTTDs will be promoted, especially with nearly 2,000 projects and tasks to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, with a total value of over 200 billion VND.
The work of caring for union members and workers has been widely implemented through programs such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Meal", "Thank You Workers"... Nearly 60,000 gifts worth 40 billion VND were given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Provincial trade unions supported the construction of 225 “Trade Union Shelters” worth nearly 10 billion VND. Regarding organization, the cluster established 132 grassroots trade unions, admitted 25,493 new union members; introduced 7,417 outstanding union members to the Party, of which 4,925 were admitted.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Xuan highly appreciated the achieved results and requested the units to continue to improve operational efficiency, linking PTTD with political tasks.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed to focus on taking care of the lives of all union members and workers so that they can have a Tet holiday. At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to the Cao Bang Labor Federation and Certificates of Merit to the Thai Nguyen and Lang Son Labor Federations for their outstanding achievements in 2024.
Before the conference took place, representatives of Emulation Cluster No. 5 under the Federation of Labor of the Northeastern Midlands and Mountains provinces held a ceremony to present "Union Shelter" houses to union member Nguyen Thi Thay, union member of Na Bao High School (Nguyen Binh district) under the education and training sector union.
