DOM UNESCO Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Company (DOM UNESCO Company) held the 15th Grassroots Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 on the afternoon of December 1. The Congress is an opportunity to evaluate the results of Trade Union activities for the 2023 - 2025 term, and propose directions, tasks and solutions for the coming period.
The Congress was attended by Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang - Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF). On the side of DOM UNESCO Company, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Secretary of the Company's Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phi Thuc - Member of the Company's Board of Directors, along with 93 official delegates, representing more than 900 union members.

Over the past term, the DOM UNESCO Company's Trade Union has proactively coordinated closely with the Company's leaders in protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees. The Trade Union effectively implements the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; conducts periodic dialogues; signs Collective Labor Agreements with many beneficial provisions; ensures full social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, allowances, subsidies and policies for female workers.
Labor safety, hygiene and fire prevention and fighting work has been implemented synchronously and seriously. There were no occupational accidents or occupational diseases during the entire term - a result that demonstrated the responsibility of both the Trade Union and the enterprise towards the health of workers.
The union visited more than 2,200 union members and workers who were sick, happy, or had birthdays with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND; coordinated to organize periodic health check-ups for 912 union members, equip uniforms, labor protection, organize teambuilding and activities to care for Tet and holidays. Programs for children of union members on the occasion of June 1, Mid-Autumn Festival, and excellent learning awards are maintained with a total budget of more than 710 million VND.
The "Land of Love" Fund supported colleagues in difficulty with more than 500 million VND and the Union built a "DOM UNESCO Shelter" house. The quality of shift meals has been gradually improved, increasing from 50,000 VND to 55,000 VND/person/day.
The DOM UNESCO Company Trade Union Congress identified a number of key targets such as: 100% of employees are eligible to join the Trade Union; introducing 30 outstanding union members to the Party; 100% of female union members participating in the movement "Good at public work - Good at housework".
The breakthrough of the term is the effective management of the Welfare Fund and care for the lives of cadres and workers, giving gifts for holidays, Tet, birthdays, and parties; improving shift meals and workplace utilities; promoting funds to support workers in difficulty, accidents, and serious illnesses;...

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results that the DOM UNESCO Company Trade Union has achieved in the past term, especially in caring for the lives, ensuring welfare and creating a stable working environment for workers. She emphasized that the Trade Union has clearly demonstrated its role as a representative and companion to businesses in production and business, maintaining harmonious and progressive labor relations.
Ms. Trang suggested that the Executive Committee of the new term continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, improve the quality of the union staff; promote emulation movements, encourage technical innovation initiatives; proactively advise, dialogue, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
At the Congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 11 members. Ms. Ho Thi Kim Huong was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Trade Union.
