On December 7, the grassroots trade union of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) held the 1st grassroots trade union conference for the 2025-2030 term.
During the term, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the leaders of the unit always pay attention to life, income, propose and supervise the correct and sufficient implementation of policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers (CBCC,VC-LD).
The union participates with the government to encourage employees and employees to practice thrift, try to balance and maintain major expenses such as: medical visits, anniversaries; rewards, organize summer activities for children; give gifts to female union members on women's anniversaries...
The unit creates conditions for union members to borrow capital to develop the family economy, purchase additional assets and means of work, repair houses, solve sudden difficulties... In addition, the grassroots union also actively mobilizes union members and employees to participate in social activities such as contributing to the "Golden Heart of Can Tho Trade Union" Fund, "For the Poor" Fund, "Action Month for Children", providing relief to people affected by natural disasters and floods, ...
The emulation movements for good workers, building "Cultural standard agency", "Protecting national security"; "Traffic Safety Month", "National Labor Safety and Hygiene Week - Fire Prevention and Fighting", ... launched by the Trade Union have received positive response and enthusiastic participation from union members.
The emulation and reward consideration has been carried out publicly, democratically and transparently, encouraging civil servants, public employees, and union members to actively strive to complete assigned tasks. On average, each year, the unit has over 90% of employees and civil servants achieving the title of Advanced Worker and many titles of collective and individual awards.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - deeply acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the persistent and dedicated contributions of each cadre and union member in the past term, with many outstanding results.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, with new requirements set out, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the City Labor Federation Trade Union and its affiliated trade unions pay attention to building a team of cadres, union members who are brave, professional, and creative; Pay more practical attention to union members' lives; Strongly innovate emulation movements; build a strong and comprehensive grassroots trade union; Strengthen women's work and gender equality.
The greatest value of the City Labor Federation Trade Union is not in reports or achievements, but in comradeship, humanity, sharing spirit, responsibility and dedication to each job. I believe in the collective strength; the spirit of innovation of the staff and above all, the heart for the organization and union members of each of us. That is the foundation for the City Labor Federation to continue to develop, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai emphasized.
The conference elected 5 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term of the grassroots trade union. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Kieu was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
