Vocational training for more than 400 union officials

The training course aims to build a team of union officials with knowledge to organize practical activities in representing and caring for union members and workers.

More than 400 union officials attended a training course for key officials of grassroots unions with 2,500 or more members organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Ho Chi Minh City, which opened on the morning of September 19.

During the 3 days (from September 19 to 21), trade union officials listened to leaders of specialized committees of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor exchange knowledge, experience and skills on: Building a team of grassroots trade union officials to meet requirements and tasks in the new situation; Supervision and inspection work at grassroots trade unions; Guidance on bidding and centralized procurement for grassroots trade unions; Innovation in thinking and vision of grassroots trade union officials in the new context; Some key tasks of grassroots trade unions for the 2023-2028 term; Mobilization, development of union members, building trade union organizations in the new situation; Trade union financial work in the new situation.

In addition, union officials were also introduced to the topic of identifying plots and tricks to sabotage the Vietnam Trade Union; the content of fighting and refuting the wrong and distorted views of hostile forces, reactionaries, and opportunists against the Trade Union in the coming time.

The purpose of the training course is to build a team of chairmen and grassroots trade union officials, focusing on non-state enterprises, with knowledge to organize practical activities in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; and to fulfill the tasks of grassroots trade unions in accordance with the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
