Currently, Cao Bang province has 1,335 operating enterprises, mainly small and micro enterprises, facing many difficulties in production and business.
To date, there are still 77 qualified units but have not established a trade union organization, with 1,006 workers not yet participating in the trade union.
In 2024, the whole province established 19 grassroots trade unions (CDCS), admitted 1,194 union members, reaching 101.3% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In the first quarter of 2025, continue to promote the establishment of 3 new grassroots trade unions, bringing the total to 759 grassroots trade unions with 27,963 union members.
The work of collecting union funds is focused on, contributing to ensuring union activities. Currently, the whole province has 98 enterprises with trade unions, 71 enterprises have not established grassroots trade unions but still pay public employees. In the first quarter of 2025, the total amount of KPCD to be collected was nearly 955 million VND, and over 168 million VND was collected.
In the coming time, trade unions at all levels will continue to develop union members, establish trade union organizations in 100% of units with over 25 employees, and at the same time, promote propaganda and strictly implement the regulations on paying trade union funds according to the Trade Union Law (amended) 2024.
