Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 89 of Decree 145/2020/ND-CP, it is specifically regulated for domestic helpers as follows:

3. Working hours and breaks are implemented according to the provisions of Chapter VII of the Labor Code and Chapter VII of this Decree, in which the break time during the normal working day and weekly days is implemented as follows:
a) On normal working days, outside of the working hours agreed in the labor contract as prescribed, employers must ensure and create conditions for employees to take at least 8 hours off, including 6 consecutive hours for 24 consecutive hours;
b) Employees are entitled to weekly leave as prescribed in Article 111 of the Labor Code. In case the employer cannot arrange weekly leave, it must ensure that employees are entitled to an average of 01 month of leave of at least 04 days.
Pursuant to Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, the following regulations on holidays and Tet:
Holidays, Tet
1. Employees are entitled to take a day off and receive full pay during the following holidays and Tet:
a) New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1);
b) Lunar New Year: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1);
d) National Day: 02 days (September 02 and 01 day before or after);
e) Hung Vuong's Commemoration Day: 01 day (10th of the third lunar month).
2. Foreign workers working in Vietnam, in addition to the holidays prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to 01 additional day off for the traditional national New Year and 01 national holiday of their country.
3. Every year, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister decides specifically on the day off specified in Point b and Point d, Clause 1 of this Article.
Thus, workers who help their families continue to have holidays and Tet holidays according to regulations, in case of going to work during the holidays and Tet, will be paid for overtime.
