More than 50 delegates of the Women's Committee of the National Trade Union Congress of Singapore visited and worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on December 2.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is managing 22,542 grassroots unions with over 2.5 million union members, of which female union members are nearly 1.46 million, accounting for 57.91%.
The jobs and lives of female employees in Ho Chi Minh City are basically guaranteed, female employees are assured in their work, promote their roles, intelligence, good work, creative work, contributing to the successful completion of the country's political tasks, building a prosperous, progressive and happy family.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has organized many activities to care for union members, workers in general and female workers in particular. A typical example is the "Workers' Health Day" program with free gynecological and dental examination activities for female workers, which has created conditions for female workers to receive care, health check-ups, and treatment.
The Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship Program awarded scholarships to support tens of thousands of children of workers in difficult circumstances to have more money to go to school. In 2024 alone, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Unions at all levels awarded 17,905 scholarships with a total amount of nearly 13 billion VND. Thanh Da Summer Farm is held annually, so far nearly 15,000 children of employees have participated, with a total cost of 19.6 billion VND...
At the meeting, Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh - Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union - also shared some typical activities of the association in caring for female workers.

Ms. Yeo Wan Ling - Deputy General Secretary of the Singapore National Trade Union Congress - also informed about some activities of the Singapore National Trade Union in general and promoted the development of the Workplace Fairness Law to strengthen protection against discrimination in employment.
At the same time, it mobilizes the strengthening of leave for parents, recognizing the importance of family and sharing the responsibility of caring for the family.
