Joining the delegation was Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Chuong Phat.
At the Yen Bai Provincial Military Command, Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang presented gifts, encouraged, shared and sympathized with the losses and difficulties that union members and workers had to endure due to natural disasters.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the union will always accompany and have timely support measures to help union members overcome difficult times.
The gifts given include cash, necessities and essential items to ensure basic living for families during the recovery period after the storm.
This is not only a material gift, but also the affection and kindness from agencies, organizations and the whole society.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (38 years old, Yen Binh, Yen Bai) said that she was very touched and grateful to receive attention, visits, and gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade unions at all levels during difficult times.
"After storm No. 3, my family suffered a lot of damage, our house was damaged, and our income decreased. During that time, the concern of the trade union organization not only brought practical support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for me and my family," Ms. Hong shared.
At the meeting, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang listened to the thoughts, wishes and proposals from workers, especially in supporting the restoration of housing, property and facing the risk of natural disasters in the future.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure social security, bringing more attention to workers in difficult circumstances.
