Get Tet bonus equal to 11% of total annual income
Speaking to reporters on December 2, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Bac Garment Export Company (Bac Giang province) said that regarding Tet bonuses for workers, this year the company still applies the same calculation method as every year. Accordingly, each worker will receive a Tet bonus equal to 11% of the total income in 12 months.
"With this calculation, the Tet bonus for workers will be more than 1 month of normal salary" - said the Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.
In addition to the Tet bonus, the grassroots union will give each worker a gift worth 300,000 VND, in accordance with the instructions of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor. The company has made a list of requests for the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor to support workers in difficult circumstances. Accordingly, the company's grassroots union will be allocated 60 gifts from the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, each worth 500,000 VND.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung added that the unit also organized the Tet program for the poor, screening workers in difficult circumstances to combine expertise to support 1 million VND/person.
In addition, the company will review and select 2 workers with the most difficult circumstances, who have temporary houses or need to build new houses to support each case with 100 million VND to build a new house. The selection criteria must be that the workers have worked at the company for 2 years or more; have the need to build a house and have a red book, and are in especially difficult circumstances...
In addition to Tet bonus, you also receive gifts.
Speaking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on December 1, the Chairman of the Trade Union of a garment company in Bac Giang said that this year, the company will still pay Tet bonuses to workers in the same way as in recent years.
“In the labor contract of workers, there is a clause that they will be awarded a 13th month salary, provided that they have worked for a full year. Recently, the company wanted to recruit more workers, so it issued a regulation that only those who have worked for 5 months or more will receive a 13th month salary, not divided into 6 months as before,” said the union chairman.
Workers receive their 13th month salary equal to their basic salary. Currently, the lowest basic salary of this company is more than 5.2 million VND/month; the highest is 6.2 million VND/month.
According to the union chairman, this method of calculating Tet bonuses has been maintained by the company for many years. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, despite many difficulties, the company still gave Tet bonuses to employees according to the above calculation. "In addition to Tet bonuses, each employee also receives a Tet gift jointly given by the company and the company" - this grassroots union official added.
According to the newly issued plan of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, one of the activities to take care of the 2025 Lunar New Year of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor is to regularly and promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; strengthen dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary payment, Tet bonus payment, etc.
