The Congress took place in a solemn atmosphere with 155 official delegates, representing more than 5,000 union members.
According to the Hanoi National University Trade Union (VNU), the 2023-2025 term takes place in the context of university autonomy, digital transformation and many social fluctuations. The VNU-UghN Trade Union has always promoted its role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the workers; a reliable support to protect the legitimate rights of union members and a source of inspiration to spread the spirit of creativity, sharing and humanity in each unit.
Regarding propaganda work, improving professional capacity and ethics of the teaching staff, the trade union has innovated and improved the effectiveness of propaganda work in the context of diversifying information channels and media today. In particular, propagate and organize activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day; political ideology education, ethics and lifestyle associated with law enforcement, improving teacher culture.
Regarding the work of protecting the rights and practical care for union members and cadres, teachers and workers; the trade union regularly inspects, supervises and discovers difficulties, thereby recommending and proposing solutions to remove them, ensuring policies for union members and cadres, teachers and workers.
For the 2023-2025 term, the VNU-Ghenhen Trade Union has synchronously deployed solutions to practical care for the material and spiritual life; promptly visited, encouraged, and provided subsidies to union members in difficult circumstances with an annual budget of hundreds of millions of VND on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. In addition, 100% of units organize periodic health check-ups; mobilize sponsorship of 128 milk sessions for children of cadres and workers under 15 months old; organize "Union Meal 2025" to attract 2,765 union members to participate with a total cost of more than 166 million VND...
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Director of Hanoi National University commended and acknowledged the marks of the VNU-UghN Trade Union for the 2023-2025 term such as: Always pioneering in innovation activities, emulation movements; Women's work has been deeply implemented - a solid support for female cadres and teachers.
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son also set a requirement for the Executive Committee for the new term with key tasks: "First, building a digital culture, innovative thinking; the union must take the lead in mobilizing union members to switch from manual work to digital thinking. Second, together implementing international quality goals, trade unions are not only a place of general encouragement but must help union members understand that trade unions are a fulcrum for union members to be confident and step out to sea. Third, continue to accompany the government to continue implementing the policy of streamlining the administrative reform apparatus".
Speaking at the Congress, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union highly appreciated the results achieved by the staff of the Vietnam National University Trade Union, saying that this is an achievement that contributes to creating value for the trade union organization at the grassroots level, contributing to the success of the Vietnam Education Trade Union in particular and the Vietnam Trade Union in general in recent times.
"The 2025-2030 term sets new tasks for trade unions, especially trade unions in educational institutions. The Vietnam Education Union always understands and will regularly provide direct and timely guidance information to support the VNU union," Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An said.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Education Trade Union, term VII, consisting of 15 comrades, elected 9 official delegates and 1 delegate on an occasion to attend the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Education Trade Union.
