HCMC - The grassroots union has recognized the wishes of the workers and recommended that Panko Vina Company Limited pay the 13th month salary to the workers.

Regarding the announcement of the termination of operations of Panko Vina Company Limited (My Phuoc 1 industrial park, Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City), on the morning of December 26, the company's grassroots trade union (CDCS) said that it had sent workers' recommendations to the enterprise.

The company's suspension of operations before Tet also affects the lives and work of workers. Workers hope the company will pay their 13th month salary, because the workers have worked for a full year.

The Trade Union has submitted a petition to the workers, including the content of paying 13th month salary to the Company's Board of Directors.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on December 23, Panko Vina Company Limited issued a notice about the termination of the company's production and business activities from February 1, 2026. The reason is that the production and business situation is facing difficulties. The company is committed to fully fulfilling its obligations related to employees according to the provisions of law.

According to records, Panko Vina Co., Ltd. has been operating in My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park for 23 years, this is one of the first enterprises in this industrial park. The company has about 2,700 employees working.

In addition to the factory in My Phuoc Industrial Park (Ben Cat Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), this enterprise also has a factory in the former Quang Nam province (now Da Nang city).

The Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City said that there will be a meeting and a direct working session to listen to businesses. At the same time, it protects the rights of employees when the company stops operating.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - added that in case the company stops operating before the Lunar New Year 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union will still take care of the company's disadvantaged workers. In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union will support each difficult case with 1 million VND, support bus and train tickets for workers far from home who are facing difficulties. In addition, the Trade Union will introduce jobs to workers.
