Representative to protect workers' rights
On December 9, Mr. Ngo Dinh Van - Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in recent years, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers has always been focused on by Ha Tinh Trade Unions at all levels. Thereby, it has ensured the rights of employees in a harmonious relationship with business owners and employers.
In recent years, in the context of a volatile world economy, many businesses affected by declining orders and natural disasters, Ha Tinh Trade Union has clearly demonstrated its role as a reliable support for workers.
Trade unions at all levels participated in giving comments on 75 draft legal documents, including the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended) and many policies on wages, social insurance, and working conditions.
The union also compiled the opinions of union members to send to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation for recommendations at the parliament; participated in questioning at the Provincial People's Council meeting; coordinated to review and propose amendments to policies related to labor relations in the locality.

In particular, at the meeting with voters after the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly (2024), the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor proposed many contents that have a great impact on the lives of workers.
These are the issues: Reducing the retirement age for direct production workers and preschool teachers; promulgating a mechanism for managing payroll and recruiting union officials; planning to build social housing for workers in Vung Ang Economic Zone and industrial parks. These are all practical proposals, accurately reflecting the reality of working life in Ha Tinh.
Strengthening dialogue and collective bargaining
Along with participating in policy making, Ha Tinh Trade Unions at all levels have promoted solutions to directly protect at the grassroots level. Trade unions at all levels have organized many dialogues at the workplace, promptly resolving recommendations related to salaries, bonuses, social insurance, unemployment insurance and working conditions. This is an important factor in stabilizing psychology, limiting disputes and work stoppages.
Collective bargaining work is focused on by signing 41 new collective labor agreements, amending and supplementing 98 agreements in the direction of benefiting employees, bringing the total number of enterprises with agreements to 385/446 units with trade unions.

Legal consultancy continues to be a strength when 34,803 officers and employees are supported with consulting, contributing to improving legal understanding and the ability to protect their rights. Policy propaganda conferences are widely held, especially in industrial parks and private enterprises - where labor relations have many potential risk factors.
Labor safety and hygiene work has achieved many outstanding results: 1,158 units organized health check-ups for nearly 48,967 workers, 369 enterprises established a network of occupational safety and hygiene workers; organized 31 occupational safety and health training courses for 5,304 workers.
The Provincial Federation of Labor also participated in investigating 8 cases of work-related accidents and traffic accidents of a work-related nature, contributing to determining responsibilities and strengthening preventive measures. Notably, 74.3% of enterprises have included training and fostering to improve professional qualifications in their commitments in the collective labor agreement.

The activities of Ha Tinh Trade Union have contributed positively to the socio-economic development of Ha Tinh province. In 2025, Ha Tinh has 23/28 targets achieved and exceeded the plan (11 targets achieved, 12 targets exceeded the plan), 3 targets failed to achieve the plan, 2 targets not assessed.
Economic growth reached 8.78%, ranking 10th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide, ranking first in the North Central region. Budget revenue is estimated at VND199,900 billion, reaching 112% of the estimate, up 11% over the same period.
In the new context, Ha Tinh Trade Union not only plays a good role as a protective representative but also proactively accompanies the government and businesses to build a stable and harmonious working environment, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Ha Tinh's economy.
