Priority given to people affected by storms and floods
According to Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh, all levels of trade unions will effectively organize activities to provide practical material and spiritual care for union members and workers; ensuring that all union members and workers have a joyful, meaningful, warm and united Tet.
Affirming the role and responsibility of the Trade Union in taking care of members and employees during Tet; motivating and encouraging members and employees to work with a high sense of responsibility and efficiency, improving labor productivity, product quality, uniting to build agencies, units and enterprises to develop more and more; strengthening trust and connection between members and employees and the Trade Union; attracting employees to join the Vietnam Trade Union.
According to Mr. Phan Van Anh, the subjects of care during Tet are all employees, in which priority is given to employees in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, those whose working hours have been reduced, those who have lost their jobs, those who have owed wages and bonuses; employees from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; employees who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce and do business during Tet.

Support thousands of train and plane tickets for employees to return home for Tet
According to the leader of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Trade Union will organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" associated with a number of specific activities such as opening the program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025", launching the program "Trade Union Bus - Spring 2025", "Trade Union Train - Spring 2025"...
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor advises, organizes, and participates in working delegations of leaders of the Party, the State, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, central departments, ministries, branches, National Assembly delegations and local leaders to visit, give gifts, and wish the New Year to union members and workers; organizes the "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" program in accordance with the conditions and resources of union levels, units and enterprises; organizes free transportation or supports train, car, plane tickets, and vehicles for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate the New Year and return to their workplaces and jobs.
Along with that, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed a number of provincial and municipal labor federations to organize the program "Trade Union Train - Spring 2025" to support about 2,000 round-trip train tickets; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the program "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2025" to support about 400 one-way air tickets for union members and laborers working in the southern localities to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet in the northern localities...
Provincial and municipal labor federations, central and equivalent industry unions, general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, trade unions directly above the grassroots level, grassroots trade unions, based on the situation of union members and employees staying in the locality and unit, organize warm and joyful activities bearing the Union's mark. In case many union members and employees do not return to their hometowns for Tet, organize the program "Tet not far from home" or other appropriate forms of activities.
The Trade Union strengthens dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary payment, and Tet bonus payment; takes care of the material and spiritual life of union members and employees during Tet. Implements measures to detect and prevent labor disputes and collective work stoppages arising during Tet and participates in timely and effective handling, contributing to ensuring security and order in localities and enterprises...
During the Lunar New Year 2025, trade unions at all levels will step up the care for union members and workers who are still in difficulty and have low incomes... with support levels ranging from 500,000 VND/person to 1,000,000 VND/person - paid from trade union financial resources...
