According to the report, during the Lunar New Year 2025, Long An Provincial Trade Unions at all levels organized care and gave gifts to 401,977 union members and workers with a total amount of more than 181.7 billion VND. At the same time, organized visits and supported 21 union members with serious illnesses, with a total amount of 61 million VND from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, Long An Province Branch.
In addition, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor also received and consulted 137 cases of employees working at enterprises in the area, related to the salary and bonus regime for union members and employees.
Along with caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Long An Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have newly established 26 grassroots Trade Unions, developing 1,890 union members in the first quarter of 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Qui - Chairman of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the Trade Unions at all levels in Long An province will strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor laws at enterprises in the area.
For the higher level trade unions at the grassroots level and equivalent, the Chairman of Long An Labor Federation requires the units to continue guiding the grassroots trade union (grassroots grassroots level) to coordinate with employers to organize the labor conference, dialogue at the workplace .... At the same time, monitor and firmly grasp the situation of workers in enterprises in order to contribute to stabilizing the security situation in workers, preventing workers.
In addition, strengthen propaganda, mobilize the development of union members and establish grassroots unions and organize training and coaching for union officials at all levels, especially union officials in the non-state sector.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui also requested that the Trade Unions at all levels in the area continue to perform well the function of representing and caring for union members and workers, especially during the Workers' Month 2025. Mobilize workers to promote initiatives, improve techniques, and apply them to production in enterprises, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization.
