Attending were Mr. Hoang Khac Tinh - Permanent Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Thanh Son - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, along with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee (FFF) of the ward and grassroots unions in the area.
Nhi Quy Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 148/QD-LDLD dated September 24, 2025 of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, with a new term Executive Committee of 4 comrades, receiving 4 grassroots trade unions with over 1,300 union members.
Although newly established, the Ward Union has quickly stabilized and effectively implemented initial activities, while gradually affirming its role as a bridge between the union organization and union members and workers.
At the Conference, the Executive Committee of the Nhi Quy Ward Trade Union approved the political report, identifying 13 targets and 8 key tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The conference also emphasized two breakthroughs for the 2025 - 2030 term: developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in the non-state enterprise sector; improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on core issues of workers.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Hoang Khac Tinh - Permanent Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor praised the efforts of the Nhi Quy Ward Trade Union Executive Committee in quickly stabilizing the organization and effectively implementing initial activities.
He suggested that the Executive Committee soon complete the organizational structure, develop a work program close to practice, and actively implement emulation movements associated with the task of socio-economic development and apply digital transformation in management, propaganda, and mobilization of union members, in order to improve the effectiveness of union activities.
The Standing Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor especially emphasized focusing on developing union members, expanding the establishment of grassroots unions in the non-state enterprise sector, while improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, ensuring core rights for workers.
In addition, the Executive Committee needs to focus on taking care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficulty and female workers, thereby strengthening trust, long-term attachment and promoting the central role of trade unions in the lives of workers, civil servants and laborers.
The conference also announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor on appointing the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the Nhi Quy Ward Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Executive Committee for the new term includes 4 people, of which Dang Huu Phuc was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union; at the same time, announced the Decision on allocating 2 delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030.
