Tomorrow, November 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize a workshop to collect comments on the draft project "Supporting workers in industrial parks and export processing zones in child care and education".
Attending the workshop will be representatives of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 20 provincial and municipal labor federations and industry unions in the Southern region...
It is known that in the 2023-2028 term, the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was assigned to advise on the implementation of the "Project to support workers in industrial parks and export processing zones in child care and education" (Project).
The Project's theme is selected from setting out key tasks and solutions to solve social problems that have become urgent and pressing in practice.
In order to carry out the assigned tasks, the Women's Union has implemented the Project. Accordingly, from July to August 2024, it conducted a survey in 5 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Thai Nguyen and inherited survey and research data from previous years to develop a draft Project; organized 2 seminars in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (in November 2024) to seek opinions from provincial and municipal trade union officials and trade unions of industrial parks - export processing zones.
Through the workshops, the Women's Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in its role as the Project Implementation Advisory Board, will receive opinions from provincial and municipal trade union officials and trade unions of industrial parks - export processing zones... to complete and soon submit to the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for promulgation.
