On December 9, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) said that with more than 299,000 union members, of which female workers account for more than 80%, caring for, protecting rights and promoting gender equality is always identified as a continuous task of the Trade Union organization.
Most female workers work in industrial parks with high intensity, limited income, and little time for their families, so the Trade Unions at all levels have implemented many practical support models.
The Clubs " Pregnant women and raising young children", " Milk collection and storage room", "Workers' cultural corner", "Digital Lotus Time" help women have space to share, improve skills and take care of their health. The trade union also proactively discovers and trains female cadres; currently more than 45% of grassroots trade union cadres are female, the core force of the movement "Good at public work, good at home work".
Propaganda work on gender equality and prevention of violence at the workplace has been widely implemented, through forums, training, and legal dialogues. Many enterprises coordinate with the Trade Union to build a safe and humane working environment, with separate welfare policies for female workers.
