On January 20, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor recognized the project "Rural bridge and flag road" implemented by the Vinh Thuan District Federation of Labor in coordination with the People's Committee of Vinh Binh Nam Commune.
The project aims to actively respond to the emulation movement among workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union organizations, practically achieving achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030; associated with the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).
Chairman of Vinh Thuan District Labor Federation - Le Kim Thoa said that the project "Rural bridge and flag road" has a total value of 224 million VND, implemented by Vinh Thuan District Labor Federation in coordination with Vinh Binh Nam Commune People's Committee, mobilizing the family of Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Ha and cadres and union members of the District Labor Union and Vinh Binh Nam Commune Trade Union.
The rural bridge is 22m long, 3m wide, and has a load capacity of 3 tons, with a total construction cost of 180 million VND. The flag route has a total of 130 trees, with a length of 6km. The flagpole is made of steel with a height of 4m, with the national flag attached on top, with a total value of 44 million VND, including installation labor.
The Chairman of the Vinh Thuan District Labor Federation emphasized: The bridge was built to create favorable conditions for students and people to travel easily and conveniently in the production process. Together with the flag road on both sides of the road along the newly built bridge, it will create a bright and beautiful landscape to welcome the new spring. Thereby contributing to the construction of a new rural commune, towards building an advanced new rural commune in the coming time.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of Kien Giang Provincial Labor Federation Trang Thi Bich Ngoc highly appreciated the efforts of Vinh Thuan District Labor Federation as well as the grassroots unions, units, organizations and individuals who contributed to the completion of the project to ensure quality. The bridge and flag route are not only physical works but also vivid symbols of the innovation and development of the homeland.
"The bridge has created favorable conditions for travel and production, contributing to improving the lives of people, especially those in remote areas here. The flag route with fluttering national flags has decorated the homeland, expressing patriotism and national pride, while also motivating people of all walks of life to actively compete in labor production and build their homeland. In particular, the bridge will help students go to school more safely, contributing to improving the quality of local education," Ms. Ngoc emphasized.
