On July 20, the leader of the Trade Union of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Limited Liability Company said that the trade union had just coordinated with the company's leaders to organize the 8th HD Hyundai Vietnam Skilled Workers' Competition - 2025.
This is an annual activity to create a healthy playground, promote the spirit of competition and enhance responsibility in the work of workers.
The contest is also an opportunity to discover and nurture "golden hands", contributing to building a team of high-tech workers to serve the development of businesses.
The contestants are workers working at HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Limited Liability Company and subcontractors directly constructing at the factory. Workers register to participate through the department and workplace.
The new point in this year's competition is that candidates who have won prizes in previous exams will not be allowed to participate, to ensure fairness and create opportunities for new candidates.
Candidates will go through the qualifying round on August 15, 2025 and the final round on September 19, 2025. The competition contents include: Peel Korea, peel fit, tube welding, tube fit and paint.
The organizing committee will award a total of 15 prizes, including First, Second and Third prizes for 5 competition contents. The prize value ranges from 2 million to 5 million VND, accompanied by a commemorative medal and a certificate of merit from the company.
In addition to the main prize, the contestants who win the first prize will be given an additional 5-day, 4-night trip abroad; the contestants who win the second prize will receive a 3-day, 2-night domestic trip.
According to the leader of the Trade Union of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Limited Liability Company, education and training work has always been focused on.
Currently, the company has about 3,100 employees. Of which, 99.9% are union members.
Each year, the grassroots union spends about 550 million VND to coordinate with enterprises to organize competitions. Thereby, contributing to improving the skills of union members and workers, meeting the requirements of modernizing the shipbuilding industry.
