Workers go to work far away to receive high salaries, many regimes

|

Although more than 20km from home, many workers still accept it even though there are many companies near their homes that are recruiting.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (21 years old, Thai Nguyen) has decided to quit her job at a leather shoe company and switch to the garment sector at her sister's company.

The reason the female worker revealed was to want to change the working environment as well as be attracted by the new company regimes being implemented.

"For just 9 hours of work, I received the same income as the current company, which requires 10 hours of work, rotating day and night" - Ms. Ngoc Anh said.

According to the female worker, the new company has many attractive policies. Notably, the bonus for special needs is 1 million VND/month, the working environment is airy, and the holiday bonus is from 500,000 VND or more. Ms. Ngoc Anh said that at her old company and companies near her home, these regimes are much lower.

In addition, at the new company, salary is calculated based on output, creating great motivation to help her try harder every day. Ms. Ngoc Anh is renting a room near the company for convenience in going to work, and the company also pays for the rent.

"There are many garment companies around here but the treatment regimes are not equal. I decided to work far away to get more benefits" - Ms. Ngoc Anh said.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Nguyen (Nam Dinh) - a worker at a garment company - said that he accepts to work far away because he receives a high salary.

Although the new company is more than 20km from his residence, the male worker still returns home earlier than his work near his home, having more time to take care of his children and family.

Mr. Tran Van Thang (33 years old, Nam Dinh) said that on March 10, he quit his job at his old company. Mr. Thang's next workplace is an electronic components manufacturing company in the city 25km from his home.

Mr. Thang chose a company in the city because of its high basic salary, up to 5.6 million VND. This company also has many attractive policies for employees, especially those working far away.

According to the male worker, a high basic salary is very beneficial for workers when calculating salary over time, receiving salary for holidays, Tet, sick leave and insurance benefits later.

Mr. Thang revealed that the basic salary of companies near his home was quite low when he started working, only from 4.1 to 4.6 million VND/month.

"Working by time, administrative hour income or overtime depends on the basic salary to calculate. After 10 working hours, I received 8 million VND/month, but the company could only receive 10 million VND/month" - Mr. Thang said.

Learning about the policies for workers living far away, Mr. Thang said that he was quite satisfied. The company supports 800,000 VND for accommodation or 800,000 VND for gasoline per month. If there are 10 people working in the living area, the company will support free transportation.

Other policies are also quite competitive compared to companies in the province. With a distance of 25km, Mr. Thang said that it is not too far, and it is still very convenient to visit his family every few days or every day.
