The conference to meet voters was jointly organized by the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province and the Labor Federation of Lam Dong province at Phat Chi - Tram Hanh Industrial Park, in Da Lat city (Lam Dong).
Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Internal Affairs - attended the conference.
At the conference, there were 18 comments with 27 contents reflecting and recommending to the Central and local levels.
Opinions focused on contributing to the completion of the Draft Law on Trade Unions (amended), the Draft Law on Employment (amended) and expressing the thoughts and aspirations of workers.
Opinions clearly state that at the district level, only 3-5 people (some places only 2 people) are assigned as union officials.
In fact, in addition to union activities, union officials also participate in local political tasks.
Therefore, full-time union officials at the district level, especially in developed localities with many businesses... have been overloaded with work.
Therefore, the opinions suggest that the Party and State should study and have appropriate policies and mechanisms in training, recruiting and managing full-time trade union officials.
Thereby, promoting the role of trade union cadres, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
Besides, workers hope that the Party, National Assembly and State will continue to have appropriate policies to promote economic development, especially the non-state economic sector.
There are many preferential mechanisms and policies on employment, housing, cultural and sports institutions, vocational training support, and subsidies when workers lose their jobs or have their labor contracts suspended.
In particular, opinions also hope that authorities will direct the prevention and strict handling of violations of the law such as unpaid wages and unpaid social insurance.
On this occasion, National Assembly delegates and leaders of Lam Dong province presented 30 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances from the union's budget, worth 1 million VND/gift; presented 20 gifts to policy families, meritorious people, and people in difficult circumstances in Tram Hanh commune, including 1 million VND and gifts.
