With a total bonus of 700,000 VND, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Duong (29 years old) and her husband - a worker in Nam Dinh - shared that they will cook at their parents' house with their family on the April 30 - May 1 holiday.
"With 700,000 VND, if I travel far away, I certainly won't have enough money. My family decided to spend a day at my grandparents' house with my brothers, sisters and grandchildren cooking and chatting with each other, which would be more meaningful" - Ms. Duong said.

Sharing about the cost, Ms. Duong said that all three families contributed 2 meals, even if they were well off, it would not be worth 2 million VND. When divided equally between each household, the amount of bonuses revealed by the female worker this year is just enough.
The remaining day, the female worker said she would spend time going home to play. After working all week, her parents' house is 15km away, so Ms. Duong has only arranged to go home for 2 weeks, this is the ideal time for this holiday.
"The first day at my parents' house, the second day at my parents' house, balancing both sides makes me feel comfortable during the holiday and have many more memories than going out far away" - Ms. Duong confided.
Ms. Tran Thi Trang (33 years old) - manager at Hai Hau Textile Joint Stock Company (Nam Dinh) - said that this holiday, the company gives employees 5 days off.
The bonus for the April 30 - May 1 holiday was revealed by Ms. Trang as 500,000 VND for employees working for more than 3 months, 200,000 VND for employees working for less than 3 months. With a bonus of 500,000 VND, Ms. Trang feels quite satisfied.
With a long holiday, Ms. Trang is not interested in going out.
Because booking bus tickets and accommodation during the holidays is quite difficult and expensive, and there is also a crowded scene, Ms. Trang decided to only go out near her home.
Ms. Trang's family's plan is to spend one day going swimming, the next two days eating and playing in the province and the last two days resting and recovering labor.
Discussing funding, Ms. Trang said that playing in her hometown is not too expensive. Although her husband is a freelancer and does not have a holiday bonus, Ms. Trang estimates that he only needs to spend a maximum of 500,000 VND more to relax during the 5 days off.
