Currently, Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited has paid social insurance for 16/60 employees until July 2024, and is still 3 months late in paying social insurance (from August to October 2024) with an amount of over 149 million VND. The remaining 44 employees were laid off.
Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited still owes 70 workers August 2024 salary with the amount of 680 million VND.
On October 24, a worker who used to work at Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited directly informed a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper about how he and dozens of other workers were owed wages and lost their jobs, making their lives difficult. He hoped that Lao Dong Newspaper would report back and urge the company to soon come up with a plan to pay workers' wages to cover the time they were unemployed.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the leader of an agency in Son Ha district said that after receiving information that Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited owed workers' wages and insurance, the unit went directly to Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited many times to grasp the situation, but because the company was temporarily closed, it was unable to work with the company's Board of Directors. Therefore, on October 22, the unit reported the incident to superiors for monitoring and direction.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, many workers at Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited are ethnic minorities and people from rural areas, so when they lose their jobs and are owed wages and late payment of social insurance, their lives face many difficulties.
On the afternoon of October 25, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters called the Deputy Director in charge of Nhat Hung Son Ha Company Limited many times to clarify whether the company had committed to paying wages and insurance debts to workers, but could not contact him.
