On April 17, in Long My district, the XV National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang province held a meeting with more than 150 voters before the 9th Session.

Attending the ceremony was Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Thai Thu Xuong.

At the voter meeting, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Lam - Deputy Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang Province - informed the voters about the program and expected content of the 9th session, the XV National Assembly, including the issues of the National Assembly will discuss and decide, as well as the results of the National Assembly delegation after the 8th session.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Lam also said that according to the plan, the 9th Session will take place from June 5 to the morning of June 28.

At the meeting, voters of Long My district paid special attention and recommended streamlining the apparatus of the political system, including merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, as well as organizing the local government system according to the 2-level model.

Voters expressed their hope that the new apparatus will ensure the settlement of administrative procedures quickly and stably, minimizing changes that cause disruption.

Regarding the security and order situation, voters requested that authorities strengthen management, education, patrolling and strictly handle violations to ensure security in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of voters, and at the same time, discussed and clarified a number of contents of concern.

The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor stated that the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang province will synthesize these opinions and recommendations to submit to the National Assembly, the Government, ministries, central branches and relevant authorities for consideration and resolution in the next session.
