On October 6, the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre province coordinated with the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor to organize a meeting between National Assembly deputies and officials, union members, and workers.
Here, voters gave their opinions on issues including amendments to the Law on Employment, the Law on Social Insurance, and the Law on Trade Unions. Especially the issue of enterprises owing social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees.
Voter Phan Huu Duy (Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province) – said that every month, the enterprise deducts social insurance (SI), health insurance (HI) and unemployment insurance (UI) from employees but does not submit them to the Social Insurance Agency. Therefore, he petitioned the National Assembly delegation to supervise and requested the Provincial People's Committee to handle this issue to ensure the rights of employees.
Mr. Doan Hai Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ben Tre province - said that during the inspection and supervision process of the interdisciplinary team established by the Social Insurance, they handled enterprises that owed social insurance (SI), health insurance (HI) and unemployment insurance (UI) of employees, and at the same time, required the above enterprises to ensure the rights of employees.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Truc Son - Permanent Vice Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre Province - received opinions from voters who are cadres, union members and workers related to the amendments to the draft Laws. At the same time, there will be reflections and recommendations of voters' opinions to the National Assembly to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Delegation of Ben Tre province presented 70 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND in cash) to workers.
