Preparing infrastructure, welcoming investors
The Ho Son 1 Industrial Cluster Infrastructure Investment Project was established under Decision No. 854/QD-UBND dated June 2, 2023 of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of VND 814 billion, with Gia Dinh Northern Industrial Investment Joint Stock Company as the investor, starting construction in May 2024.
Ho Son 1 Industrial Cluster is deployed on an area of 73.76 hectares, most of which is agricultural land and production forest land in two communes: Cai Kinh and Ho Son of Huu Lung district, Lang Son province and has a prime location when deployed, located near National Highway 1A, Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway and not far from large industrial clusters and parks such as Dong Bang, VSIP Lang Son, Hop Thanh...
According to the reporter's records in mid-February 2025, after nearly 1 year of implementation, the shape of the Ho Son 1 industrial cluster project has gradually emerged. Currently, the construction unit is in the stage of focusing on leveling, creating a flat surface for the project, taking soil from a high location to a low location.
At the construction site, equipment and mechanical machinery are mobilized by the contractor to be ready for construction, deploy the ground level at the same time, urgently complete the underwater drainage bridge and some other auxiliary items of the project. When the site is completed, it is expected to attract a series of businesses to invest, opening up many job opportunities, and improving local labor.
Thousands of new job opportunities
Mr. Luong Van Khanh (Huu Lung district), who has been a worker for many years in Tuyen Quang province, shared that although his job is stable, away from home, he can only return during Tet holidays or rare holidays.
When I learned that the locality was implementing an industrial cluster, I had high expectations and looked forward to the project being completed and put into operation soon so that I and many other workers would have the opportunity to work in my hometown in the future, both ensuring income and being close to my family.
Similarly, Ms. Vi Thi Hanh, a local resident, also hopes that the industrial cluster will be completed soon to create more jobs for local people, especially female workers in the locality. Many people now have to leave their hometowns to go to Binh Duong and Dong Nai to make a living, and their children leave them with their grandparents to take care of. The distance is far, so the whole year comes back once. If they can work right in their hometown, they will feel secure in both working and taking better care of their families" - Ms. Hanh shared more.
Informing reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang - Vice Chairman of Huu Lung District People's Committee - said that the Ho Son 1 industrial cluster project is currently in the process of site clearance, and is basically completed. The project strives to be completed in 2025.
This is one of the key projects in Huu Lung district. When completed and put into operation, it is expected to attract more than 20 industries and investment fields, creating jobs for more than 6,500 workers, thereby improving the lives of local people.
Previously, Lang Son Provincial Party Committee issued thematic Resolution No. 45-NQ/TU dated September 1, 2021 on industrial development for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. The goal by 2030 is to basically become a modern industrial province, a driving force for economic growth. By 2025, the province will complete the infrastructure of at least 1 industrial park and 3-4 industrial clusters with an occupancy rate of over 30%. By 2030, continue to attract investment, each district will have at least 1 industrial cluster in operation, with an occupancy rate of over 50%.
