The Labor Federation of Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, in coordination with the District People's Committee, organized a training conference on the Law on Grassroots Democracy and documents guiding the implementation of the Law for nearly 100 delegates from businesses in the district.
Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Chairman of the Ngu Hanh Son District Labor Federation, said: This training aims to raise awareness of the Law and equip business leaders and officials in charge of implementing grassroots democracy in enterprises.
At the same time, equipping the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of enterprises under the District Labor Federation with the necessary knowledge and skills in implementing grassroots democracy at the unit. Thereby, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the enterprise.
The Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level was passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly on November 10, 2022, effective from July 1, 2023, consisting of 6 chapters and 91 articles regulating the content and methods of implementing democracy at the grassroots level, the rights and obligations of citizens in implementing democracy at the grassroots level and the responsibilities of agencies, units, organizations and individuals in ensuring implementation.
At the conference, delegates were informed by Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Oanh, Head of Legal Policy and Labor Relations of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, and discussed two topics: The process of building, negotiating and signing Labor Agreements; democracy at the grassroots level in the workplace for non-state enterprises.
