Hundreds of social housing for sale
On December 1, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City announced the opening of social housing for sale after a minimum rental period of 5 years at Blocks E1 and E2 of the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park Social Housing Apartment Complex project. The number of apartments for sale this time is 142 apartments, with areas ranging from 32.9m2 to 66.5m2, at Blocks E1 and E2 of the project. The time for receiving registration documents is from December 27, 2024 to January 8, 2025.
The subjects who are eligible to buy social housing must not own a house in Da Nang City or own a house but the average housing area per capita is lower than 15m2 of floor space/person in Da Nang City. Those who have not purchased or rented social housing, and have not enjoyed housing support policies in any form in Da Nang City.
The social housing apartment complex in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City) is invested by Saigon Thuan Phuoc Green Real Estate Joint Stock Company. The project is located at the intersection of DT 602 and Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.
The project is designed to meet the housing needs of officials, civil servants, low-income social policy beneficiaries, with special priority given to workers in industrial and export processing zones who want to stabilize their housing. The project consists of 8 apartment buildings from 12 to 15 floors with nearly 2,000 apartments. The project includes many amenities such as commercial service areas, sports areas, mini supermarkets, children's playgrounds, kindergartens, and green parks.
Social housing funds with public investment capital are still very small.
According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, currently, the social housing fund invested by the State with public investment capital (social housing is public property) is very limited. Therefore, priority must be given to arranging rentals for people with revolutionary contributions and households clearing degraded apartment buildings and collective housing areas that are public property in the city.
On November 20, the Department of Construction announced the acceptance of applications for renting social housing on public property for people with revolutionary contributions in the city. However, the Department of Construction has not yet issued an announcement to receive applications for renting social housing on public property for poor households in difficult circumstances in the city.
According to Mr. Phung Phu Phong - Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, in the coming time, after balancing the social housing fund, the Department of Construction will coordinate with the People's Committees of districts to develop a plan to arrange social housing rentals from public assets for poor households in difficult circumstances, report to the Chairman of the City People's Committee for agreement before publicly announcing and receiving applications for social housing rentals.
In December 2024, the Department of Construction will continue to effectively implement the Housing Development Program for the 2021-2030 period, especially focusing on investing in the construction of social housing for the poor and policy families with housing difficulties.
The city is currently carrying out procedures to call for investment in 3 social housing projects that have been approved for investment in principle with a total of 3,519 apartments. Implementing investment procedures to build a social housing project from the State budget with 608 apartments.
The city has introduced a land fund of more than 2.77 hectares in the Hoa Hiep 3 resettlement area (Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city) for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to implement a trade union and housing project with 732 apartments, and at the same time, supplemented the plan to call for investment in 5 new social housing projects with about 4,500 apartments in the period of 2024-2025.
