On December 22, Nha Trang Cyclo Tourism Union held its first congress for the 2023-2028 term. There were 90 delegates representing more than 514 members of Nha Trang Cyclo Tourism Union in attendance.
The Nha Trang Tourism Cyclo Union was established on December 22, 2023 with 262 members. After 1 year of operation, the Union currently has 8 groups with 514 members, of which 12 are female.
In the past time, the Provisional Executive Committee of the Union has focused on grasping the situation of the labor force, listening to the wishes and proposals of union members to promptly make recommendations to all levels. Coordinated with the Nha Trang City Labor Federation to organize health check-ups for union members, organized timely and complete visits and encouragement to sick union members.
In particular, in coordination with the provincial Social Insurance, 2 classes on the Social Insurance Law were organized with the participation of 300 union members. As a result, 24 union members registered to participate in voluntary social insurance, increasing the rate of union members participating in voluntary social insurance to 40% and health insurance to 81%.
The Union coordinated to organize 7 propaganda classes on Vietnam Trade Union Law, labor law, Road Traffic Law, Circulars under Traffic Law... for nearly 800 union members.
The Executive Committee of the Union coordinated with all levels to visit and present nearly 1,000 gifts with a total cost of nearly 500 million VND to union members in difficult circumstances on holidays, Tet, Workers' Month...
At the 1st Congress of Nha Trang Tourism Cyclo Union, term 2023 - 2028, delegates voted to elect the Union Executive Committee with 11 members and voted to pass the congress resolution.
It sets out specific targets for the 2023-2028 term, striving for union members to not commit social evils or violate social order and security; 100% participate in emulation movements organized by trade unions and labor unions; 100% of union members comply with the law, behave in a civilized manner, self-study foreign language communication, tour guide skills, etc.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh - Permanent Vice President of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged the efforts to overcome difficulties of union members and the Provisional Executive Committee of Nha Trang Tourist Cyclo Union.
As the largest informal labor union in the province, the Union has recently attracted many cyclo drivers to join its activities, creating its own mark, contributing to spreading the image of a friendly and hospitable tourist city.
In addition to the achieved results, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh suggested that the new Executive Committee continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, develop the force; strengthen propaganda, education, mobilize union members to study and improve their qualifications, build the image of union members to be increasingly civilized and friendly.
